Reserves suffer same fate as U20s

Like the Under-20s the evening before, Heriot-Watt Reserves suffered a 2 – 1 defeat in its match this weekend, losing out to Murieston United ‘B’, unbeaten leaders of Lothian West Division.  This Saturday, the Reserves will look for three points with a home game against second-bottom Linton Hotspur, but may be hampered by the mid-December date putting pressure on resources.

There is no fixture for the Under-20s this Friday, but the First Team has one of its hardest assignments of the season on Saturday, travelling to Riverside Stadium, Perth, to take on  high-flying Jeanfield Swifts.  Jeanfield went into second place in the Conference C table last Saturday by beating Broxburn Athletic 2 – 0 and has won its last four games, including a 3 – 0 victory over Civil Service Strollers at Christie Gillies Park in the Football Nation Cup.  Swifts trail Linlithgow Rose by just a single point at the head of the Conference, so will be in no mood to compromise.
