Another three points for Under-20s

The Watt Under-20s gained another three Lowlands Development League points on Monday evening with a 4 – 0 win over Newtongrange Star at the John Brydson Arena.  There were three fine goals, from Ali Shrive, Ali Naysmith and Lewis Duffy, plus an unfortunate own-goal by the visiting goalkeeper.

There is no game tomorrow (Friday) for the Under-20s, but the First Team is in action on Saturday, travelling to Perth to face former Junior Superleague team Jeanfield Swifts in the East of Scotland League.  The Watt has already played Swifts once this season, but it was nearly seven months ago, back in early August, with Swifts winning 3 – 1 in an Alex Jack Cup tie.  The venue is Riverside Stadium, Bute Drive, Perth PH1 3BP (kick-off 2.30).

The Watt’s reward for the hard-fought win against Burntisland Shipyard last Saturday is a home tie in the Third Round of the King Cup against another former Junior Superleague side:  Bo’ness United.  We look forward to welcoming the BUs to Riccarton.

After their excellent victory last Saturday, the Reserves will try to secure another three points in LEAFA Lothian West Division when they make the short journey to take on Clermiston Vale at Clermiston Park (kick-off 2 0’clock).
