From the south and the east – take the City Bypass west to the Hermiston turnoff (A71 Kilmarnock road), at which there is a sign for Heriot-Watt University; from the city centre – go by way of Gorgie Road and Calder Road (A71) across the bypass. After crossing or leaving the bypass, go west on the A71 for only about 100m, then turn left, skirting the ‘Park and Ride’ by taking the slip road at the first roundabout, then bearing left at the second roundabout on to Riccarton Mains Road. Turn right at the next roundabout on to the University campus.

For the sports facilities, park in the car park (‘Car Park B’) on the left shortly after entering the campus. From the car park, go west towards the new Oriam Performance Centre building.

To go directly to the synthetic pitch in the John Brydson Arena (the Watt’s registered home pitch for East of Scotland purposes), take the path heading south towards the trees and turn on to the path to the right just after entering the woods. This takes you between the new building and the football pitches of the Brydson Arena.

If you are involved in a match and require directions to changing accommodation, please enter the Oriam building and enquire at the Reception desk on the left of the entrance hall.
